Talented J.P. DiMisa, Principal of J.P. DiMisa & Associates – Developers and Builders of Luxury Homes, invited me to photograph him in front of his beautiful homes in Royal Palm. One of the houses under construction, the one with his logo cleverly stamped on the concrete, will be his future home for he and his family. The grand scope of his estates can hardly be experienced through photos, though I tried.
Maybe five or six years ago I was JP’s best man’s date at their gorgeous, picture perfect wedding. We recently bumped into each other at the Showcase of Open Houses at the Royal Palm Properties brunch last month that I photographed. His demeanor and natural charisma gives an extremely welcoming warmth to his images, making him a delight to work with.
A couple of the photographs I took pictured below will be published in the Shawn Elliott Luxury magazine which I’m very excited to see printed.
Shot with my D800, my 17-35mm f/2.8, and of course my 24-70mm f/2.8. Post editing with Lightroom 5 and Photomatix. Time of day: 6:45-7:45pm post a downpour. 10 minutes more of rain, and I would have cancelled the shoot. Emptied, puffy clouds with colorful light streaming in at 90 degrees gave me exactly what I had planned for the sky in the photos. Color enhancement in post is downright minimal.
